Remarkable parks with quality labels Vichy's oasis of greenery has been officialy recognised by the "Remarkable trees of France" quality label

Vichy is at the heart of an immense garden made up of 140ha of parks. Recognised for its quality of life and environment, Vichy has received the 4 Flowers Award since 1967, the National Grand Prize for Flowers since 1989, and the National Tree Prize in 1996. In 2010, the town also received the Quality Label «Remarkable Trees of France» for its husbandry of the rare species of trees in the Napoléon III park.

 

The decision to create the parks along the Allier River, the Napoléon III Park and the Kennedy Park, was made by the French Emperor Napoleon III during his visits to Vichy from 1862 to 1866. 

 

A true oasis of lush greenery, these parks are of English inspiration.
